What: Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Where: Ashford Crescent (D3234) and Thetford Road (D3236) Ashford
When: From 23 July 2024.
Closures: Anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day
Duration: Work anticipated to be completed within 4 days, between 8:00am and 4:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Ashford Crescent and Thetford Road, Ashford which extends from; a) the north western property boundary line of “No. 66 Ashford Crescent” to the north eastern property boundary line of “No. 70 Ashford Crescent”, b) its junction with Ashford Crescent (D3234) to the southwestern property boundary line of “No. 3 Thetford Road”.
Alternative Route: Ashford Crescent, Station Crescent and Salcombe Road or the same route in reverse.
This Order is required to allow Affinity Water to carry out water works, which is anticipated to be completed within 4 days, between 8:00am and 4:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 23 July 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
