We know that many residents are concerned about anti-social behaviour (ASB) happening in the area and Independent Spelthorne Group are delighted to have been able to work in partnership with Spelthorne Councils Community Safety Team and Spelthorne Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) to support the Crimestoppers campaign by sponsoring posters for OUR Borough. It is very important that crime is reported and that residents feel safe.
The new signage will be displayed at key locations within OUR Borough to encourage residents to report issues to Crimestoppers; a charity, independent from the police, that provide people the power to speak up anonymously and report crime. Please make sure you do!

Cllr Joanne Sexton, Leader of Spelthorne Borough Council and the Independent Spelthorne Group said,
“We know that many residents are raising concerns about anti-social behaviour happening in the area and the impact it is having on our local community, particularly for elderly and vulnerable residents. We are pleased that we could support this Crimestoppers campaign in Spelthorne. I would like to thank Surrey Police and in particular Borough Commander Matthew Walton and my fellow Councillors for supporting this initiative. It is vital that all crime is reported and that residents feel safe.”
A spokesperson at the Crimestoppers Trust said,
“We are regularly contacted by people who are vulnerable, scared, or afraid of the consequences of sharing what they know. We are here for everyone who needs us, anonymously and I am pleased that more residents will see our posters and know how to contact us.”
