We understand that some residents have heard that Spelthorne Borough Council has approved the work by Esso to rectify Fordbridge Park in Ashford and that we have signed off the completion.
Spelthorne Borough Council can confirm that this is not the case and do not agree with Esso that the park has been returned to a fit state for residents to use and enjoy. Fordbridge Park is an important open space for our communities, and we will not be agreeing to take the park back until the works and reseeding are finished to a satisfactory standard. We understand the impact of this inconvenience.
Site visits will continue to take place and the Council will work with Esso and our partners to monitor the park and address all outstanding restoration issues.
