Spelthorne Walking for Health Scheme aims to improve health and fitness of local people, especially those who are not physically active and want to become more active.
If you would like to attend one of the walks run by Spelthorne Borough Council, please ensure you arrive in plenty of time to register your name with one of the leaders. A programme of walks can be found under downloads on the Spelthorne Borough Council website – https://www.spelthorne.gov.uk/walkingforhealth
- walks are designed for total beginners and are between one and three miles long
- there are up to three walks a week
- walks are led by volunteer walk leaders. There is a front leader and back leader so that you can walk at your own pace
There are also seven guided walks around Spelthorne with easy to follow instructions and maps. The routes are varied in length.
- Historical facts about points of interest on the routes are also available.
- The Stanwell Village walk is accessible for wheelchairs and push chairs.
