Surrey Highways Road Re-Lining in Spelthorne

Below are details of Surrey Highways plans to renew yellow and white lines on roads around the County as part of their re-lining programme.

Funding allocated to re-line road markings is in addition to roads that will be relined as part of major maintenance or surface dressing programmes (in those instances it is funded as part of the works) nor new parking restrictions (again these have separate funding). Please note that some of the work could carry into the next financial year, but with the ongoing work Surrey Highways hope that as residents we will notice and improvement in road markings.

The programme of works below have been prioritised by two key factors – busy roads that have had the longest time since they were last refreshed and survey data from our asset team.

How are roads prioritised (SPN)?

Surrey Priority Network (SPN) is a risk based prioritisation of every road that Surrey County Council (SCC) is responsible for. Each hard surfaced road is assigned one of 5 SPN categories; 1,2,3 or 4a/4b. 1-3 are busier roads with the most traffic and 4a/4b are typically more residential with lower volumes.

•                     M3 Sunbury Cross junction (this will be subject to securing road space from National Highways due to the impact on the M3)
