Why: Emergency works being carried out by Cadent Gas

Please be advised of emergency works being carried out by Cadent Gas on Stanwell Road, Stanwell outside no.95. These works are being carried out for an essential and immediate repair to a gas escape in the footway and carriageway.
TM advised is multi-way signals with manual control between 7:00 am to 7:00 pm to ensure traffic does not back up to A30, junction Church Road or roundabout with Woodthorpe Road.
These works are expected to be completed by 4th September 2024.
The duration for any ‘immediate’ activity, such as a gas leak, cannot be initially challenged upon receipt of the permit. However, Surrey do realise unplanned works of this nature can cause inconvenience and are liaising with the utilities company for updates on the progress as and when necessary.
