
Surrey Highways teams are working hard across Surrey, ensuring our pathways, roadsides, and rural areas are safe and welcoming for residents and visitors.
This initiative is part of #SurreySpringClean and shows Surrey’s ongoing commitment to maintaining a safe and scenic environment for all.
Where?
Work has been taking place in Chaucer Road, Ford Road and West Close, Ashford
What?
A wide variety of works have been completed, such as:
· Cleaning bollards and signs
· Straightening slightly leaning posts, bollards and small sign plates
· Replacing reflective banding on bollards
· Clearing of gully channels
· Removing vegetation covering signs
· Removal of vegetation to expose the footpath
· Hand pulling of weeds
· Litter clearing
· Collecting left over equipment
