Where: Park Road, Ashford. The works will be across the entrance to Old Nursery Place.
When: Minor works will take place 2nd July for 3 days – 8am to 5pm.
Why: Part of Surrey County Council’s commitment to improving roads and pavements.
What: Traffic Control (give and take)
Surrey Highways will make sure residents can get to and from your house or business when it is safe to do so. Please talk to a member of our staff on site if you need help – they are keen to deliver the work with minimal disruption to you.
It is essential to keep the road free from parked vehicles to enable the work to proceed as planned.
A reminder that this work is weather dependant and can be delayed by bad weather or other factors. Please look at our information boards on site for date changes.

These works have been halted. The contractor advised that:
“Unfortunately as with all drainage jobs with all best intentions and even with the correct design to resolve the drainage issues, sometimes it is not until we actually start excavating that we uncover services that prevent us from continuing, as in this case we found services that quite simply was at such a shallow depth that installing any kind of drainage was impossible. This has been passed back to SCC for further investigation to see what else can be done to resolve the residents’ issues”.
However, it was confirmed that they will continue to investigate and obtain a quote for installing a kerb across the junction.
